Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a processed interaction?
An interaction is an episode ingested via API or SDK (e.g. a support ticket, chat transcript, transaction, or note). Idempotent replay requests do not increment usage counters.
Do reads and entity state queries cost extra?
No. Standard read queries (getIntel, entity lookups) are included without per-call friction so your agents and applications can query context freely.
How does model billing work?
You can bring your own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) to pay the model provider directly, or use ClueState Cloud’s managed model allowance.
Can we migrate from Cloud to self-hosted later?
Yes. Because ClueState is open source under Apache 2.0 with identical data schemas and SDK interfaces, your code works identically on both.
